I am now sitting in one of the most terminally boring training sessions I have ever been in. The problem is, this session is a computer class, but it's being aimed at non-computer teachers. During the first class on Excel 2007, we covered exactly 3 things that I did NOT know. Worse, we have one of those instructors who aren't interested in assistance unless it's one of their friends. The second session on Word 2007 isn't much better.

It doesn't help that I have a migraine and I'm having a bad case of the fidgets. So I'm being a bad student. Second session, I sat all the way in the back of the room. I've been grading papers, playing on the internet, writing... Except I'm too fidgety to productively get any one thing done (like writing another chapter of "Real Cats" or finishing grading one class).

What I really need to do now is get some serious sleep. I was up at 5:30 to grab a shower and make it to my class by 8:15. I didn't sleep well last night. If I was really being a bad student, I'd do what my kids do and put my head down and nap.

Grading is no big deal this weekend. Next week is TAKS testing and, with all the hall/class monitoring, I can get the grading finished AND entered in the computer.

Right now, I just want to sleep.
